Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

1. As we seek God for wisdom and direction, we also recognize that he created us for community. How can having a community help us as we navigate life? Have you had an experience where community has been an important part of your journey?

Philippians 2:1-2
Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

2. There is power in community and doing life together! Read the Philippians verse above. How does this relate to community and what can we do to build that?

Luke 6:12-16
‘One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night. At daybreak he called together all of his disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles. Here are their names: Simon (whom he named Peter), Andrew (Peter’s brother), James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (son of Alphaeus), Simon (who was called the zealot), Judas (son of James), Judas Iscariot (who later betrayed him).’

1 Corinthians 12:18
But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it.

1 Thessalonians 5:14
Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.

3. In the sermon, Geoff spoke of 3 reasons we need community. We need a community to cheer us on, to pull us back and to light our way home. God has put you right where he wants you, there is no mistake in that. How can you be a community builder in this season and place God has you? You may already be in a group or a community. If so, is there a next step you can take to bring others in or encourage your people?
