Serve Day

Serve Day is a one-day outreach event when the people of Journey engage in multiple service projects throughout the south Denver area. The vision of Serve Day is for us, the local church, to go into our communities and love our neighbors. We hope people’s hearts will be opened to the love of Jesus through practical projects and acts of service.

Our hope is that serving others becomes our focus throughout the year. Simple acts of selfless love can open hearts to Jesus, and together we can make a difference.

Serve Day Projects

Thank you for being interested in serving on Serve Day! All of our projects have closed. Make sure to look out for Serve Day next year and register earlier.

If you still want to serve, we have two powerful opportunities you can jump into for Saturday, July 15.

1. Vitalant Blood Drive

Our country is experiencing a shortage of blood donations. Help others in need by donating yours.

2. DIY Serve Day

The great thing is that you can still serve…just “”DIY”” the project. Come up with creative ways you can serve someone around you. Here are some ideas:

  • Mow elderly neighbors yard, pick weeds, wash their car, run errands.
  • Have a lemonade or other type of stand and donate the proceeds to one of the serve day organizations.
  • Go on a walk or drive and pray together as a family or small group for households and/or individuals.
  • Deliver dinner or treats to a neighbor or someone in need.
  • Pick up trash around the neighborhood or school.
