Overview:
Persecution is totally something that we all look forward to, right? All joking aside, we typically live our lives in a way where we don’t stand out— we blend-in so that we can fit-in. But how does that work when we live in a culture that goes against Christ? How can we fit-in and also live a life for Christ? In this world, actually living for Christ means that we will likely face some sort of persecution. We may not be thrown in jail, but we may be insulted or lose friends over our decisions and values. When we look at Scripture, we see that persecution does 3 things— exposes our loyalty, creates an opportunity, and strengthens our faith. What if we decided to live unashamed of Jesus, and sought to share him constantly through our thoughts, words and actions?

- What intimidates you about sharing your faith publicly?
- When have you ever felt like someone made fun of you because of your faith?
- How does your response to persecution create an opportunity for you to lead someone to Christ?
- What are some things that you can do to share your faith with someone this week?
