Read Romans 7:15 – 8:11
Romans 8:1 — So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus…
Ephesians 2:8 — “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—”
1. How does God respond to our sin? Have you had a different view of sin or how God sees you when you sin?
2. What are some different ways we respond to our own sin? What does God want us to do with our sin?
Romans 5:8 — But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
3. From Psalm 51 we know that God wants to forgive us, change us, and restore us from our sin. Why is this process of repentance and healing so important?
This week: On your own read Psalm 51 and put these steps into action if there is an area of your life that you need to turn from and heal. Remember that God’s love for you is a gift and there is nothing that can break his AGAPE love. Be mindful of the difference between guilt and shame and lean into the healing that God wants for you.
