Philippians 2:5
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.
Romans 12:9-10
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Romans 12:18
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
1. After reading the passages above, what does it mean to have the same mindset as Christ? What attributes of God come to mind when you read through these verses?
2. In the sermon we discussed that forgiveness is about canceling the debt and freedom. It is also a decision and a repeated choice. How would you define and describe forgiveness and reconciliation?
Read 2 Corinthians 5:17-20.
3. What keeps us from forgiving and reconciling with others? Is there forgiveness and/or reconciliation you are wanting to pursue?
4. If so, what is one step you can take this week to work towards that forgiveness? It may be helpful to keep these statements in mind.
By faith… I will remember this is a process.
By faith… I’m going to hate the what and not the who.
By faith… I’m going to make the first move.
