Observation & Discussion (30 Minutes)

1 Corinthians 9:24 – Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. So run to win!

  1. What does the ‘race’ represent in 1 Corinthians and what is the prize Paul is referring to?
  2. How would you define the ‘win’ in your life?
  3. In what ways can we guard against distractions that might interfere with living out our purpose?
  4. What does it look like for you to live your life with dedication and purpose?
  5. What are some ‘winning plays’ that you are currently doing or would like to start that would make a difference for you?

The following questions have a relationship/marriage focus and follow the sermon notes.

Matthew 19:4-6 — 4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

  1. God is the creator of marriage. What is God’s intended design for marriage and why?
