Missions

We partner with organizations making an impact and serving communities throughout Colorado and across the world.

Our Partnerships

Missions and Outreach partnerships provide opportunities for mutual ministry impact, opportunities to serve others in practical and tangible ways. Our heart is to serve others through partnerships, events, or outreach projects so that we can make a difference in our community throughout the year.

It is because of the generosity of the people of Journey Church that these partnerships are possible.

Made to Impact

We have partnered with Made To Impact to help us serve as many people as possible in our church community. Made To Impact was developed in partnership with Journey Church member Judah Musick, and we are so grateful! Made To Impact is a powerful tool that allows the body of Christ to meet the needs of one another in a way that protects the dignity of those in need, and share the stories of that impact.

Let’s work together to meet the practical needs of our neighbors and “BE the church” in action. Visit our Made to Impact page to view the list of current needs. The webpage is updated after the request has been validated and confirmed. All requests are directly from members of our Journey Church family. If you would like to help meet a need, you have a need, or know of a family in need, click the “Meet a Need” button to visit Journey’s Made to Impact webpage.

As we always encourage at Journey, please pray and ask God “how you should participate?” and “what your next step could be?” Your continued generosity helps create more opportunities for people to take their next steps with Jesus, and there is no greater impact we could make together.

Elise Brooke—Missionary with Navigators

My name is Elise Brooke and I have called Journey Church home since 2008. I have been so grateful for the opportunity to serve and grow at such an incredible church. I had the privilege of being an intern with Journey’s student ministry and have been very involved with the worship, children’s, and student ministry during the last 10 years.

During this time, my heart for ministry grew deeply, and now as a recent college graduate, I have decided to go on staff with The Navigators to pursue full-time college ministry at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.

The vision of the Navigators is “to know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same.” Through discipleship relationships, small group Bible studies, and outreach events, we are eager to advance the Gospel and God’s Kingdom into the lives of college students. We have seen thousands of student’s lives transformed during college as they take their next step with Jesus. Our desire is to help build strong spiritual foundations for these college students through spiritual generations.

All Navigators staff are support-based, praying for churches and individuals to partner with us financially and prayerfully. I trust God will provide and it is an honor to invite people to give to what God is doing. Would you prayerfully consider joining my team?

I would love to share more! Email Elise Brooke at Elise.Brooke@Navigators.org.

Church Planting

Journey Church has a heart and vision to see the Kingdom of God expanded through church planting. This includes focused leadership development opportunities through our Pastoral Residency track, developing leaders for church ministry.

Journey is part of the REACH Conference consisting of missionally connected churches with the primary call to be evangelistic; churches that prioritize evangelism with fruitful evidence.

Musana Community Development

To see rural communities in Uganda develop using sustainable solutions that give HOPE and DIGNITY to the most vulnerable.

At Musana Community Development Organization, we believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty within families and the community as a whole. With high drop out rates and a lack of quality standards within schools in Iganga, we are committed to challenging the typical status quo. Instead, we offer the community quality educational institutes that go beyond exclusively utilizing the Ugandan curriculum to raise the next generation of Ugandan leaders to “be the change.”

Musana’s skill development department acts as one of the largest training centers in Iganga where the most vulnerable are equipped with both business and practical skills. Each skill development enterprise supplies a demand in the community, while offering vulnerable men and women training they can utilize to provide for themselves and their families. Through skill development, they are given the choice to be independent with hope and dignity restored, breaking the cycle of dependency.

Denver Street School

The Denver Street school is an accredited nonprofit Christian high school serving the Denver metro area since 1985. They accept students who have struggled, dropped out of, or have been expelled from other schools and need a more personalized approach to their education. The school is completely privately funded. The student to teacher ratio averages 10:1

They operate three campuses: The East Campus in Aurora and the West Campus in Lakewood, serving both sides of the Denver metro area.

Hope Academy, opened in June 2015, provides aftercare and a day school program for area girls ages 12-17 who have been recovered from sex trafficking.

Home Building for Mexico Missions

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak we had to cancel sending teams for our church Family Missions Trip to Mexico. In our partnership with Missions Ministries, we raised funds to purchase homebuilding supplies and construct two basic homes for families in need in Mexico—same as our church did last year.

Rocky Mountain Police Chaplains

Rocky Mountain Police Chaplains equip police chaplains with the knowledge and skills to serve their agencies with confidence and excellence. By serving those who serve us, they currently support 68 law enforcement agencies and 176 chaplains across Colorado and Wyoming. RMPC ministers to local police precincts, county sheriff offices, highway patrol, national guard and more. Their officers, staff, and their families need support and hope now more than ever. Across the nation, law enforcement communities are facing enormous stress and perilous circumstances. It is our honor and privilege to come alongside them to be Jesus’ hands and feet, sharing the hope that can only come from Him.
