Message: Binge The Bible - Episode 2 - Exodus
 Speaker: Berron Fuhri
 Date: November 2, 2025
Warm-Up
- How were you able to become more familiar with God’s word this past week?
 - When you think of the book of Exodus, what comes to mind?
 - What stood out to you from the message on Sunday?

Know It
Read Exodus 12:1-28. What stands out to you?
1. Why do you think God’s instructions for deliverance are so specific?
Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in the Old Testament because God’s instructions and laws are so detailed and exact. It’s important to remember that His rules and commands aren’t random. Every piece serves a purpose and is there for a reason.
What is the significance of choosing a lamb without blemish or imperfection? Why is that so important?
Read Revelation 5:6-14
2. Where do you see Jesus and His death being foreshadowed here?
Jesus can be found all over the Old Testament. Every book contains some foreshadowing, prophecy, or image of Christ that allows us to connect the dots when He finally shows up on the scene. These parallels aren’t random or accidental but a very intentional trail that leads to our Savior.
Read 2 Corinthians 5:18-21
How do we see the concept of God “passing over” in His mercy and justice today?
Own It
1. What does your “Egypt” look like?
Our “captivity” can look very different. From addiction to unhealthy relationships to overindulgence to blatant sin. Sometimes our “Egypt” isn’t a bad or sinful thing in and of itself but something good that keeps us from reaching our full potential that God intended for us. The first step of breaking free is recognizing how you are being held captive and crying out to God for help.
Read Exodus 2:23-25
What would it look like to take the next step of breaking free of your “Egypt”?
2. How can you relate to Moses’ hesitancy to accept God’s calling?
Just like Moses, we all fall short and have weaknesses. That doesn’t mean that the Lord won’t use us and work through us. In fact, He is in the business of exclusively using broken people to serve His Kingdom and do extraordinary things. He often uses our weaknesses to our advantage if we allow Him the room to move.
Read Exodus 3:7-17
What extraordinary things has God called ordinary you to do?
Next Steps
1. What does it look like to move from deliverance to development?
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord, you are saved and delivered from sin. While that is an incredible gift, He doesn’t want us to just stop there. We are all imperfect people that the Lord is looking to shape and mold into an image and reflection of Himself. That kind of transformation takes a lot of intentionality and a plan.
What area of your life do you need God to move in the most? How can your small group help you along this journey or hold you accountable?
2. Reflecting on what stood out to you in this overview of Exodus, what is the Lord calling you to do next?
There are valuable lessons and applications to be found in every book of the Bible. While Scripture’s main purpose is to reveal God to us, it also reveals us to ourselves. Scripture is a surgeon’s knife and a magnifying glass that exposes our shortcomings, encourages us through truth and hope, and points us towards our next step and our Savior.
Which story in Exodus would you like to become more familiar with? How will you go about doing this?
