We were so excited to hear over the weekend that faith communities have been deemed “essential businesses” by President Trump! We were also surprised to learn that Governor Polis approved the request by Douglas County allowing churches to reopen their facilities immediately. These are encouraging and good steps!
Watch a video update from Pastor Scotty.
Our team is currently working through the many detailed requirements that will need to be in place before we can safely gather again in person at our building. We will keep evaluating and assimilating the updated requirements and provide church updates once we are able to do so. We want to not just do what is legal, but what is wise—so most likely in the ‘race to be last’ we will be a bit behind what is “allowed” versus racing ahead.
Because we are such a family-focused church, we will continue to hold services online every Sunday until our Kids Ministry can function appropriately and safely, and our in-person services can be better than our online experience.
Join us for online services weekly on Sundays at 7:00 am, 9:30 am or 11:00 am or anytime after to watch on-demand through our Journey app or on our website. We also have kids programing on Sundays at 8:15 am for preschool, and 8:45 am for elementary age, as well as weekly family resources available.
Even as church buildings in our area begin to reopen within reasonable safety guidelines, we understand the Church is NOT a building, it’s the people—and many in our community will choose to worship from home. Our full online worship experience is here to stay, and we celebrate you choosing to worship with us each weekend, whether you worship at home or in a church building! Like no other time before, we are one church in multiple locations!
Because of your ongoing generosity we continue to grow in so many ways and reach more people than ever before—it is so exciting! Our goal is to make disciples, and that is happening each week as people take their next steps with God! We are planning and brainstorming some midweek alternatives that will provide some in-person gatherings and supplement what we are currently doing on Sundays online.
Thank you for being patient, staying connected, and engaging during this time. Continue to be in prayer, and stay tuned there is more to come!
