Plans & Adjustments

Updated Tuesday, May 26, 2020

We were so excited to hear over the weekend that faith communities have been deemed “essential businesses” by President Trump! We were also surprised to learn that Governor Polis approved the request by Douglas County allowing churches to reopen their facilities immediately. These are encouraging and good steps!

Watch a video update from Pastor Scotty.

Our team is currently working through the many detailed requirements that will need to be in place before we can safely gather again in person at our building. We will keep evaluating and assimilating the updated requirements and provide church updates once we are able to do so. We want to not just do what is legal, but what is wise—so most likely in the ‘race to be last’ we will be a bit behind what is “allowed” versus racing ahead.

Because we are such a family-focused church, we will continue to hold services online every Sunday until our Kids Ministry can function appropriately and safely, and our in-person services can be better than our online experience.

Join us for online services weekly on Sundays at 7:00 am, 9:30 am or 11:00 am or anytime after to watch on-demand through our Journey app or on our website. We also have kids programing on Sundays at 8:15 am for preschool, and 8:45 am for elementary age, as well as weekly family resources available.

Even as church buildings in our area begin to reopen within reasonable safety guidelines, we understand the Church is NOT a building, it’s the people—and many in our community will choose to worship from home. Our full online worship experience is here to stay, and we celebrate you choosing to worship with us each weekend, whether you worship at home or in a church building! Like no other time before, we are one church in multiple locations!

Because of your ongoing generosity we continue to grow in so many ways and reach more people than ever before—it is so exciting! Our goal is to make disciples, and that is happening each week as people take their next steps with God! We are planning and brainstorming some midweek alternatives that will provide some in-person gatherings and supplement what we are currently doing on Sundays online.

Thank you for being patient, staying connected, and engaging during this time. Continue to be in prayer, and stay tuned there is more to come!

Stay Connected

Despite the current COVID-19 pandemic affecting daily life in so many ways, we want to remain connected with you, and continue in our efforts to fulfill the mission Jesus called us to—helping people take the next step in their journey. Below are details on how we will continue to stay connected.

Sundays Online

Join us as we worship together on Sundays, exclusively through our online broadcast, which can be found at and our YouTube Channel. Current broadcast times on Sundays are 7:00 am, 9:30 am, and 11:00 am (MST). The recording is also available on demand through our Journey App, Facebook page, and website beginning Sunday afternoon.

Sundays In-Person

We are not currently meeting in person, for anything church-related. As the situation progresses in a positive direction, we will be ready to open our facilities in a socially-responsible manner. Stay tuned for updates, and stay connected with us through our online broadcast, email mailing list, and our social media platforms!

Journey Groups

At Journey, we believe people grow best in community. Our purpose is to bring people together and help them take that next step by joining a group or becoming a group leader. Although our small groups are currently discouraged from meeting in person, we greatly encourage continuing to meet virtually, through video chat platforms. This time together will allow for continued community and biblical discussion. Visit our groups page to view our online directory of available groups.

Journey Kids

We will continue to provide engaging, age-specific content to encourage spiritual growth and continued joy for your children during this season. We are filming weekly videos, including live teaching and we will also supply you with printable activity materials, to use at home. For access to all of this, please visit the Family Resources page.

Journey Students

We are committed to keeping students connected during this season we are filming weekly videos with teaching and discussion questions and encouraging continued small group interaction through video chat platforms.
